Police are appealing for information following a burglary at the home of a 66-year-old man in Yateley on Tuesday night (February 14).
The incident happened at the man’s home in Manor Park Drive.
Shortly after 10pm he heard a knock at his door and on opening the door he was confronted by two men believed to be wearing balaclavas. They forced the man back into his home, punched him and searched his house.
Shortly after they left his house without taking anything and are believed to have left in a vehicle. The victim has not been able to offer any description of the vehicle.
The man has only been able to provide brief descriptions of the two men. One was skinny and was slightly larger in build, they were both between 5ft 5ins and 6ft and both wore black balaclavas.
PC Michelle Carrig said: “This is a particular nasty crime on an elderly man. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone living near Manor Park Drive who heard or saw a vehicle leaving there at around 10pm as there is a possibility that it was leaving at speed towards Handford Lane.”
