Police are appealing for information after suspicious incidents involving a man in Yateley.

At about 4.45pm on Monday, May 6, two 16-year-old girls saw a man was committing an indecent act in a woodland area close to a footpath which runs between Old School Lane and Hall Lane.

Police have also received a similar report from a 15-year-old girl at around the same time.

The man did not approach the girls but they were understandably shocked and distressed by what they saw.

The man has been described by the 16-year-old girls as white, aged in his late 20s and of a thin build. He had short mousey brown hair and was wearing black sunglasses, dark blue jeans and a blue and white stripey t-shirt.

A similar description has been given by the 15-year-old girl.

Another report of a similar incident was received by police on Saturday, May 11. A 37-year-old woman reported seeing a man indecently exposing himself in the Reading Road area of Yateley.

The man is described as white, aged in his early 30s,about 5ft 11ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a grey or green hooded top with the hood up and had short blond or light brown hair. He was wearing blue combat trousers and dark-coloured skater-style trainers.

PC Victoria Bolan said: "Were you in the area at this time of any of these incidents? Did you see a man acting suspiciously?

"I would like to reassure the community that this man made no attempt to speak to or approach the girls or the woman and that we are working hard to try and identify him."
